Since the beginning in 1988, Red Barn Furniture has always been family owned and operated. Founded by Mallo Bisset on the advice of a friend who suggested that with her outgoing, friendly personality, Mallo would be a great success in running her own business. After finding a building for lease (which previously had been a furniture store) in the small town of Stuart, Florida, she set up shop. First selling used furniture, and eventually finding her niche with wicker furniture. Mallo soon realized that she loved her new career!

As Stuart grew, so did the business. In 1996, after finishing her MBA, Alex  joined her mom in the family business. You will almost always find one of them at the shop.

These days the shop has branched out from selling mostly wicker to other casual furniture, and a large selection of outdoor furniture, as well. Additionally, Mallo Bisset is also quite an accomplished artist and you will find her colorful palette knife paintings for sale, too. As times and trends change so must a successful business change, but the focus at Red Barn will always be to provide quality products and friendly personalized service .
